Charcuterie Chopping Board Care

“How do I keep my Charcuterie Board in great condition?” question from a customer

So I thought I would address this here and explain my process for charcuterie chopping board care

What not to do:

  • Do Not wash in a dishwasher
  • Do Not leave to soak in the sink
  • Never leave wet for too long

How best to care for your new Charcuterie Chopping Board

  • As the board will of had at least 10 wetting and sanding cycles before sale the grain raised will be minimal
  • Wipe off the residue from the board with a damp cloth or sponge
  • Rinse cloth and continue until clean
  • Dry thoroughly immediately
  • A light wipe with beeswax or mineral oil to protect the wood
  • Store flat at all times
  • Turn the board over twice weekly to maintain flatness after use

This is the method I use to maintain the integrity of all my Charcuterie’s, chopping boards and cheese boards. I have many examples of these boards for sale on my website.
