“How do I keep my Charcuterie Board in great condition?” question from a customer
So I thought I would address this here and explain my process for charcuterie chopping board care
What not to do:
- Do Not wash in a dishwasher
- Do Not leave to soak in the sink
- Never leave wet for too long
How best to care for your new Charcuterie Chopping Board
- As the board will of had at least 10 wetting and sanding cycles before sale the grain raised will be minimal
- Wipe off the residue from the board with a damp cloth or sponge
- Rinse cloth and continue until clean
- Dry thoroughly immediately
- A light wipe with beeswax or mineral oil to protect the wood
- Store flat at all times
- Turn the board over twice weekly to maintain flatness after use
This is the method I use to maintain the integrity of all my Charcuterie’s, chopping boards and cheese boards. I have many examples of these boards for sale on my website.
