Recommended Products
Within these blogs i will be trying to pass on the benefits and pit falls of certain products that we have tried to use, with varying levels of success. We have used Glasscast Resin, Art Resin and UV resin within 2019. Over the coming year we will be trying Ecopoxy Resin and will be writing about our experience with it. Then we will giving you our reccomendations.
Wood to Use
Here over the coming months, we will be discussing what types of wood to use for different projects. Ranging from whether to use soft or hard wood for a river run table but also where to source rare woods. Also what moisture content the wood needs to be and how to dry and store the wood prior to use.
Furniture Restoration
This year we will be purchasing an old furniture unit from a charity shop and completely restoring ready for sale in the shop. We will video and write in detail the process we followed from beginning to end and explaining any complications or pit falls we encountered. The photo above is of a beautility unit where the top was too badly scarred and had to be sanded smooth and painted to a high gloss finish.
Resin Jewellery
Over the coming year we will be creating and discussing the different styles of jewellery we create. From Birthday coloured domed pendants, aurora borealis sky pendants to sea shore style necklaces. We will be trying several different types of bails, clasps, embellishments and necklace materials.
